Dear patients, Due to the last notice from the Provincial Health Officer, masks aren’t a requirement in our clinic. We will continue to maintain high standards of cleaning protocols in our clinic space, and perform daily health checks of practitioners.

Please discuss with your therapist if you prefer them to wear a mask during your scheduled treatment. Your therapist is happy to accommodate your needs. Sanitizer and masks are available at the clinic entrance, if needed. We look forward to supporting your health.

What to expect during the massage therapy session:
- Step 1: Assesment - The therapist will go over your health history, discuss your symptoms and your goals. Postural assessment, orthopaedic, neurologic testings, and palpation may be used as relevant to evaluate your health needs.
- Step 2: Care plan discussion - The therapist will go over the treatment options to enhance function, aid in the healing process, promote relaxation and wellbeing.
- Step 3: Treatment - The therapist will use a variety of techniques from Swedish, Myofascial, Deep tissue, Trigger point release, Joint mobilization, Muscle energy techniques, and may incorporate stretching, rehabilitative exercises, and hydrotherapy as needed.
- Step 4: Post-treatment assessment - It is an important step that evaluates the effectiveness of the treatment and gives some directions to the therapist as to how to move forward to best meet your goals. The issue may continue to improve, or if it has reached a plateau, will need to be addressed using other techniques.
- Step 5: Home care - the therapist will prescribed remedial exercises, stretching, hydrotherapy, or suggest some changes in your daily living activities, as needed, that will promote the maintenance of the post-treatment results.

Please be ready to have your appointment be extended up to 15 minutes (without extra charge, if extended testing is necessary). Please consider that the extent of the testing necessary to evaluate a condition can take time, and it will provide information that will facilitate the healing process.

Elisabeth Penner graduated in 2022, and received the Outstanding Academic Award, from the Kootenay Columbia College of Integrative Health Sciences in Nelson, for the 3000 hour Registered Massage Therapy Program. She passed the Government Board exams to provide services recognized by BC Health Care, and Extended Health benefits Insurers.

Elisabeth moved to Creston with her husband, Randal, 23 years ago after receiving an education, and having a career in Business Management in France, and Vancouver, BC - Canada. The move to a small community was mainly to start a family, and be able to stay home to raise her children, as well as support her husband part-time in his businesses. The entire family loves the Valley, but realized quickly that some services were limited.

Elisabeth decided to go back to school after her children were raised, in view of opening a multi-disciplinary clinic in Creston. The Creston Integrative Clinic is opening October 2nd, 2023. The clinic has been fully renovated just prior to the opening. She will be providing registered massage therapy services.

Elisabeth is committed to her clients’ wellbeing by providing high quality care designed to help her patients achieve optimal physical health and enhance stress relief. Are you battling chronic pain, recovering from injury or surgery,  wear and tear from daily life, or suffering from conditions like headaches/migraines, respiratory pathologies or other systemic concerns, postural dysfunctions, central or peripheral nervous system conditions, or are you feeling the stress of a hectic life? Massage therapy can benefit you.

Elisabeth is continually doing research, and taking courses to facilitate the maintenance, development, rehabilitation, or increase of physical function, by treating, or preventing physical dysfunctions, injuries, and joints and soft tissue disorders. Various manual methods are used. Myofascial, Swedish massage techniques, Mobilization techniques, and many other neuromuscular techniques. Her treatment includes orthopaedic assessment, which allows her to develop a personalized therapeutic massage treatment , post-treatment assessment, that will determine progress and direct the focus of future treatments, and Home care, to support the maintenance of the benefits of the treatment.

Elisabeth is providing Direct Billing to main extended benefits Insurance providers.

Elisabeth is open until 7:30pm Mondays and Thursdays.
